Not everybody trusts paintings but
people believe photographs.
Believe it. The orchards in the San
Joaquin Valley were beautiful this year.

THS Winter Formal
Little purple pansies, touched with yellow gold,
Growing in one corner of the garden old;
We are very tiny but must try, try, try
Just one spot to gladden, you and I.
...And 'gladden' me they have.
We went to Utah in February to visit
Call and Whitney. Fun to see their
little apartment and spend time with them.
It's out of focus, but I still love to see them
together in their own little space.
A house is built with boards and beams.
A home is built with love and dreams.
Whitney made this sweet wall decoration by cutting out
the petals from music and dipping them in coffee!
She had never made coffee before, but she
must've done well because it
sure turned out cute!
All of a sudden Call's living space has
taken a turn for the beautiful!
Call has been biking up a storm.
We went bowling one day...
...and ran into cousin Grant and his
darling little Monet.'
Men's Volleyball game at BYU.
We drove to Sundance one evening for dinner.
Ty played his bagpipes for us.
What a snapshot is to your life,
Your life is to eternity, so
wouldn't it be nice if
eternity captured you smiling?
Call and Whitney showed us around UVU.
We were very impressed. I love the quote below
because it reminds me of the great friendship
these two share. They help each other.
Isn't that how it's supposed to be?
There comes a time when a man and woman
realize that their separate schemes can
be better achieved as a conspiracy.
The world is not conclusion;
A sequel stands beyond,
Invisible as music,
But positive, as sound.
After going to the Provo Temple our final morning
there, we hopped on the airplane and flew home.
Anne Marie was recently home for Spring Break.
She helped her 'brumsy' color his hair.
We went to lunch one day with
Grandma and Grandpa. Mom sent us home
with several beautiful Camellias.
I still find each day too short for all the thoughts
I want to think, all the walks I want to take,
all the books I want to read, and all
the friends I want to see.
My mother is peeking out of her kitchen
window, making sure that the men putting
on the new roof don't disturb her flowers.
Video: 4 x 100 relay. Ty was the
anchor and is in the far right.
Last week Ty participated in a 16 school track meet.
Each school sent its two fastest runners to compete.
Ty really down played how he thought he might do.
He ran four races...and brought home four medals!
It was really fun.
100 meter race***3rd place
200 meter race***2nd place
Anchor for the 4 x 100 relay***2nd place
(plus, they broke a 20 year old school record)
Anchor for the 4 x 400 relay***3rd place
He continued his winning streak this week by
running for Spirit Leader at Turlock
High School, and winning!
These are the stickers we made for
he and his running mate, Monica,
to hand out...along with a bunch of bubblegum.
(Blue and gold are their school colors.
So, that worked out perfectly!)
Yes, that's our boy you see down there on the
convention floor. Number 34 in the tutu. Now, that's
spirit for you. Kris and I enjoyed watching the "show."
The school holds their elections modeled after our
own system of voting. Classes send delegates, and
the delegates cast their votes state by state. Pretty
fun to watch the whole process which includes a fair
amount of humorous campaign videos and presentations.
Monica and Ty.
THS Spirit Leaders for
This morning we awoke to find Ty's
picture in the paper. He is being carried
into the convention by the security guards. His
campaign manager and election team all rode in on
bicycles and scooters while throwing beads
and candy to the crowd.
