Love Is In The Air

September 21, 2009
Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Lawrence Hyer
I know it just might sound like "something to say."
However, I honestly don't think I've met another
bride and groom that seemed so destined to
be together.
Besides myself and Kris of course!
Jessica Thayne says "yes" to Kevin Hyer!
A look at her gorgeous dress
Five brothers. Robert, David, Kevin,
Justin, and Derek.
And Catherine finally receives a daughter!
Is there such a thing as too much family?
Kris and Marie. Twenty-six years, and
still sleeping in the same bed. :)
It was good to all be together.
Call came up from SUU, Anne Marie from BYU,
and Chase from the U of U!
Ty came all the way
from Turlock High...and Natasha is in S.L.C.
working towards a nursing career.
Dodd and Zan's family...minus Dallin who is
serving his mission in the Ukraine.
Kris took this close-up of Sam and Annalise's
Alina. Pretty hard to resist.
"Cousins." Anne Marie, Annalise, Becca and
Karen. Becca and Karen both married last
summer. We've had quite the "run" on
Hyer cousin weddings!
For some reason, I love these two photos
of these three...they are joyous.
Wow. They must have an awesome orthodontist.
Some fun time in between the festivities. This was funny
to me because when our children were small and we
would go to the mall...Kris never could just walk
past a gumball machine. Had to get one.
It was a little like de'ja' vu.
A fun lunch at a restaurant Chase and
Natasha recommended. It was fantastic.
(Call was still on the road to meet us.)
Banana Republic dressing area. Haha. I
thought this was cute and funny!
Why In-N-Out? Because it was opening day in Provo.
You should have seen the cars and the line of people.
Unbelievable. Ty rolled down the window to yell
"the line is shorter in California," but we
zipped by too fast.
Woulda' been good, though!
Anne Marie and her brothers...
"Sunrise...sunset..."
In her apartment
Mollie and Catherine...Grandmother
and mother of the groom.
Jessica, Kevin, Catherine, Kevin
Kris and his cousin, Diane.
Aunt Agnes and Kris
Kris and his cousin, Annette
Cute cousins

I Know It's Winter SOMEwhere...

...but this is what I enjoyed on my morning walk today...
and my heart leapt up
I started early, took my dog...
~Dickinson~
It was a little budding rose,
Round like a fairy globe,
And shyly did its leaves unclose
Hid in their mossy robe,
But sweet was the slight and spicy smell
It breathed from its heart invisible.
~Emily Bronte~
I've been watching all of these for days.
It was time to make them mine...
somehow!
I know it's winter...
...somewhere!
A sepal, petal, and a thorn
Upon a common summer's morn,
A flash of dew, a bee or two,
A breeze
A caper in the trees,
And I'm a rose!
~E.D.~
Aha! Here is winter. Anne Marie, her roommates, and an
apartment of guy friends went to observe the meteor
shower in the Provo canyons a couple of nights ago.
Abominable Snowpeople...all wrapped up and
lying on the freezing ground waaay past midnight
ready for the show!
(A.M. in the middle)
Here, we see three roses of a different sort.
I knew it was winter somewhere...
and look! It's blooming
there, too!

Don't Blink

Friday evening we went to the beautiful Gallo Arts
Center in Modesto to see a performance of
Lord of the Dance.
We had wonderful seats to the sold out performance.
Marie and Kris
(Let me just remind you that Ty
is fourteen years old!)

Ty was a blast to sit next to, because he kept
giving me stunned looks of amazement at the
speed of the dancers feet. And, I just laughed
my head off during the finale' when they kept
repeating that "wave" with their feet in the
dance line! The precision and energy was
incredible. Fun time!
