A bunch of Hyer's gathering for the parade. We could not
believe the number of parade entries. It seemed as if
every club, group, merchant, and organization turned
out to support their town. Cutest parade
I've seen in a long time.
If you are ashamed to stand by your colors, you had
better seek another flag.
You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence
every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers
who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle,
but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato
salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think
you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.
Main street was absolutely crowded. People were definitely
in an up-beat and celebratory mood. Very very fun!
Kris with one of several caramel apples
he purchased. This one was "Oreo."
Ty and his dad have been taking bagpipe lessons
for about a year, so they especially
liked this parade entry!
