Last weekend, Ty qualified to represent his school in the
county track meet. Twenty schools participated. He ran
the 100 meter sprint, the 200 meter sprint, and the final
leg of the 4 X 100 relay. He placed first in all three races.
Unfortunately, he's seriously lacking in the personality department.
I let my feet spend as little time on the ground as possible.
From the air, fast down, and from the ground, fast up.
"The hand off."
I guess that knee surgery Ty had last November is
not holding him back!
If you don't try to win you might as well hold the
Olympics in somebody's back yard.
(In 1936, Jesse Owens became the first American to
win four Olympic gold medals in track and field.)
